This is a copy of a pastel drawing of a snail shell I did over 20 years ago. I decided to recreate it in my stained glass style with a spectral color scheme.

Who can't love chameleons? Adapting your skin to blend into what you see in your environment… too cool. Have already written how much I'm intrigued by eyes and fascinated by animals mimicking eyes to frighten predators, both represented in this work. I also incorporated eyes into the leaves and tree. I also like to repeated the tail into the galaxy overhead.

This painting was a bit of an experiment. I tried to paint as much of it as I could with a palette knife technique. Turned out to be a bit of a mistake and this painting has a ton of hours into it. It is in my stained glass technique but the only one that has this much texture behind it.

A play on bioluminescence (natural phenomenon common in
marine environments that produce light). The fish is an eye
wherein the scales are smaller eyes.

This painting is based on a photo I took in Minnesota. A sunbeam in what was a very stormy sky seemed to be spotlighting two trees. One was a vibrant live tree, the other had died. One friend pointed out the death juxtaposition was ominous and wondered if I was trying to make some type of religious statement; I was not.

This painting is based on a pastel drawing I did in college which was based on a doodle I did in high school. Always loved drawing eyes, I think they are as beautiful as any gem. I originally called the work “Cryin’ Iris” as there are both eye and flower iris connections. However the flower didn’t really look like an Iris flower so any chance I get to make an eye pun, I gotta take it. Also wanted the wood pattern to be made of eyes.

Love fish! Love eyes! Intrigued by animals evolving patterns mimicking eyes to scare off predators. Also wanted to play off the patterning of scales that are similar to feather patterning.

If interested in buying my art, whether original or reproductions, please contact me. Long term goal is to set up online sales and inventory. May take a while.
All my original works are framed. Some of the frames are very heavy so until I can automate my gallery pricing and shipping I will probably have to do custom price and shipping quotes
(depending on 'ship to' location).
I do have several framed reproductions as well, hope to eventually link photos of all available reproductions as framed, for now if you would like to see framing pics, let me know.
Unframed reproductions will be shipped in poster tubes.
While I do not have prints of all my work in stock I do have a lot, and with at least a week or two turnaround I can get to the print shop and get reproductions printed.
The prints are available in their original size and most can be printed smaller as well. Let me know what you are interested in.
