Based on a photo I took at my favorite fishing hole. This little bird just kept swimming back and forth in front of me. Didn’t get the impression it was trying to drive me away from a nest. So I decided to hike up to the car and get my camera, came back and it was still there. Took a picture and he swam off.

After a friend turned me onto fishing offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, I fell in love with this beautiful and tasty marine species. Felt I had to do a painting to honor this awesome species.
